The holidays are upon us and the market has slowed...somewhat. We usually don't have as many Buyers looking and many Sellers like to take their home off the market for the Holidays. But we do have people looking in our area to buy homes - some because they are ready to move to our wonderful area and recently we have had buyers that need to replace their home that has burned down. It is an unfortunate situation, but their spirits still seem high. Even though they say it is no longer a Seller's market, the Buyers will still tell you there is not enough inventory.
I am hoping the trend of having houses fall out of escrow does not continue, but if you are a Buyer - WRITE A BACKUP OFFER if the house you love is already in escrow. You may still be able to buy it. If you are a Seller - TAKE A BACKUP OFFER. My most recent Seller was able to easily move their backup offer into first place when the first buyer was unable to move forward.
I am happy to be in my 16th year of selling Real Estate, 31st year of living in El Dorado County and 36th year of being married. Let me know if I can assist you with buying or selling - or both!
